Nursery Funding

Government support is available to help with childcare fees, through Tax-Free Childcare (up to £2,000 per year – available to every child) and Nursery Education Funding (up to £4,446 per year – available the term after your child turns three). Please do speak with Alice if you would like to know more.

WORKPLACE VOUCHERS: Oak House is registered to accept a range of different Workplace Childcare Vouchers who make payments directly from parents’ Employers and are able to offset them against Tax.  Please ask Alice for more information as arrangements for this changes quite frequently.

TWO-YEAR FUNDING: Your child may be eligible for two-year funding – please liaise with either the Nursery Manager or Alice if you have any queries, or if you feel you may be eligible.

NURSERY EDUCATION FUNDING:  Oak House is fully registered to accept Government Nursery Education Funding [NEF] and all children are eligible to receive funding from the beginning of the term following their third Birthday. For full information please contact Alice. Please note, the NEF received by our Nursery does not cover our costs, and as such, if you are seeking a fully funded position do note that there are Chargeable Elements and that we request a Recommended Voluntary Contribution.

CHARGEABLE EXTRAS & RECOMMENDED VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTION:
The Chargeable Extra is calculated based on the sessions done in that month and covers predominantly food. Other items that could be chargeable under the NEF agreement include – outings, trips, class parties and events, specialist external teachers, nursery clothing, lending libraries etc. As these are variable throughout the year, it is very difficult to itemise in a monthly figure, as such we currently do not specify a charge for them, but reserve the right to do so at any time without notice.
If you have any questions regarding our NEF policy, Chargeable Extras & the Recommended Voluntary Contributions please do not hesitate to speak to us.
